Somchit Mounsamrouath-Hart

Ms. Hart graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Political Science in 1999 and earned a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2004.

She also concentrates her practice in complex residential and commercial property litigation involving land contract forfeitures, mortgage foreclosures, Fair Housing claims, inhabitability claims, landlord’s rights in bankruptcies, lease violations and evictions for failure to pay rent, destruction of property, health hazard issues, holdover tenancy, disturbing the quiet enjoyment of other tenants, engaging in illegal activities, and vicious pets.

Ms. Hart drafts leases and purchase agreements and handles landlord-tenant claims for landlords and management companies of apartments and manufactured housing throughout Michigan.

Prior to joining The Law Office of Aaron D. Cox, Ms. Hart was an Assistant Public Defender for Washtenaw County and a solo practitioner where she aggressively defended the accused in hundreds of misdemeanor and felony charges.

Ms. Hart strategically counsels clients, both individuals and businesses, with proven success achieving case dismissals, favorable judgments, and advantageous settlements with extensive bench and jury trial experience on both the District and Circuit Court level.
